Nara - The Socialite

Somehow Miss Nara was in the “computer glitch” I had when uploading all the Christmas dog photos  – so here she is in all her glory

I would like to say sorry to all Nara’s family and friends , who could not find her in the Christmas dogs 2010 page and will endeavor to get her in the right spot soon.

cheers Ronnie

Happy New Year 2011

Hi everyone and welcome to 2011.

I hope everyone had a good festive break and made the most of our beautiful Queensland weather. My family visiting from NZ and myself certainly made the most of our 2.5 days of almost sunshine. Upside, didn’t have to worry about reapplying the sun block. Downside, the Qld flood victims – my heart goes out to them as I am sure does everyones.

I have finally uploaded everyone’s xmas bath photos, so I hope you have been able to scroll through the long list and find your beloved friend and view a few of their car buddies at the same time. Sorry it took so long, but the pictures where taken on a 8 meg camera, making the files quite large and my computer to freeze up constantly. All good fun.

Unfortunately there are a few of our beautiful Bath Club members that didn’t quite make it through to 2011 and I would like to send out love and hugs to all those families.

MARCH MADNESS

Well what happened to January and February  – OMG -  Just gone in the wag  of a tail

Firstly my apologies to everyone for being a little behind in the updating of this site – the excuse being Xmas/Jan was just crazy busy, with a big thank you to all “The Bath Club’s” new members. Then a short break to NZ with my partner and here we are -  playing in the rain !

Here are some cool things to look out for in 2010:

  • Sale of product: Flea control, Heart Worm, Intestinal worm tabs, tick collars and some of the “must have” brushes and combs. Also we look forward to Natural dog treats coming soon.
  • Photo comps for each month with winners getting a spot in the western echo ads (wow almost famous)
  • Quizzes and puzzles for young and old
  • Topical events and issues that can be discussed

So best I get going and get started on some of these things

Cheers for now

To Clip or not to clip?…

…That is the question.
I think it should be about the health and welfare of the animal and not what we think looks good. We live in a sub tropical climate and there are few breeds not suited for this weather. It is about making your pooch comfortable. All the new little designer crossbreed dogs eg: Cavoodles, moodle, groodles, spoodles etc etc need to have their coats maintained

  • Brushed thoroughly, minimum of 3 times a week.
  • Feet, faces and bottoms trimmed fortnightly.
  • Ears cleaned and checked and nails trimmed.

And we all love that cute fluffy look and start off with good intentions. Then all of a sudden, our cute little fluffy, is one big knotted mess. A big contributing factor to this matted mess we now have, is bathing without completely brushing out the coat thoroughly first. It is very important that all old dead hair and matts are removed before wetting the coat. It is recommended that every 8 – 12 weeks, you should get your “best friend” professionally groomed – whether it be a maintenance clip, full clip, coat stripping or face and feet trim – it is all about keeping your pet healthy and comfortable.
