Choosing the right Flea Control

The choices available today for flea control are numerous and can be a bit confusing. In general all dogs should be treated for fleas monthly, heart wormed monthly (or yearly injection by Vet) and intestinal wormed every 3 months (there again if this is not included in there flea control). Three products will give protection for paralysis ticks but only if used fortnightly. There are tick collars on the market and must be replaced every 2 months. Four products cover intestinal worms but only two of those cover for all 4 intestinal worms, tapeworm. This is the worm transmitted by fleas, so if your pet does by any chance have a flea infestation then they should also be treated for tape worm which is covered by an all wormer product. Now if you didn’t quite get all that above this handy little chart may be of some help in deciding which products to apply. And another handy tip is dogs suffering from flea allergies should use a product that is specifically for fleas – ones that knock down adult fleas straight away. Or this may have confused you even more if so just give me a call and I would be happy to help.

Hi everyone, just a little late as usual,

If you would like to see your best friend featured in the monthly ad all you have to do is email your best /worst or funniest piccy of pooch. Or if you aren’t able to get a photo you could tell me a funny story and we could add one of the bath club photo’s that I have. Either way get clicking or writing and lets see what great new ad we can have next month.

Happy New Year 2011

Hi everyone and welcome to 2011.

I hope everyone had a good festive break and made the most of our beautiful Queensland weather. My family visiting from NZ and myself certainly made the most of our 2.5 days of almost sunshine. Upside, didn’t have to worry about reapplying the sun block. Downside, the Qld flood victims – my heart goes out to them as I am sure does everyones.

I have finally uploaded everyone’s xmas bath photos, so I hope you have been able to scroll through the long list and find your beloved friend and view a few of their car buddies at the same time. Sorry it took so long, but the pictures where taken on a 8 meg camera, making the files quite large and my computer to freeze up constantly. All good fun.

Unfortunately there are a few of our beautiful Bath Club members that didn’t quite make it through to 2011 and I would like to send out love and hugs to all those families.
